The Relationship Between The Ministry of JESUS and That of JOHN the BAPTIST

As Recorded in The Four Gospels

The New Testament begins with the Four Gospels, that is, the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

All of the Four Gospels deal with, and completely record, the ministry of John the Baptist.

This is because his ministry is so important.

To properly understand the ministry of Jesus, one needs to possess a proper understanding of the ministry of John the Baptist.

How Much Do You  Know About The Ministry Of John The Baptist?

John the Baptist was a man born on this earth in order to to carry out a special ministry.

Jesus said of John the Baptist, referring to Malachi 3:1,
"But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I say to you, and more than a prophet. For this is he of whom it is written:

‘Behold, I send My messenger before Your face,

Who will prepare Your way before You.’    " (Matthew 11:9-10)

Jesus also said,
“Assuredly, I say to you, among those born of women there has not risen one greater than John the Baptist” (Matthew 11:11).

John the Baptist prepared the way, and then Baptised Jesus,in order to "fulfill all righteousness" (Matthew 3:15), as laid down in Leviticus.

Just like Aaron the High Priest, who had passed all the yearly sins of the people of Israel to the scapegoat by laying his hands on its head in the age of the Old Testament, John the Baptist, a direct descendant of Aaron, is the very man who passed all the sins of this world to Jesus once and for all, in the age of the New Testament.

Leviticus 16:21 says,
“Aaron shall lay both his hands on the head of the live goat, confess over it all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions, concerning all their sins, putting them on the head of the goat, and shall send it away into the wilderness by the hand of a suitable man.”

In the New Testament, the counterpart to this passage is the ministry of John the Baptist, and Jesus’ baptism denotes the importance of this ministry.

The Lord took on the sins of the entire mankind, once and for all, through the baptism received from John the Baptist.

He shed His blood on the Cross, died vicariously, and was resurrected from death.

Having received the baptism given by John the Baptist, the Lord became the Savior who saved us from the sins of the entire world.

We must know and believe in the ministry of John the Baptist in which he passed all the sins of the world, on to Jesus, once and for all.

To understand the Gospel of the Water and the Spirit, it is essential that you start with the first three books in the series, and then carry on to the other books to reinforce your faith.
